Missed calls, lost instructions
The call you miss during a client meeting or a hearing is rarely the call that comes back.
— Virtual Legal Secretary for UK Sole Practitioners
Live phone cover, new-enquiry handling and practice admin for sole-practitioner, freelance and consultant solicitors — so every new enquiry is answered live, even when you're in a meeting or at court.
Incoming enquiry call
Answered live, in your firm's name
No IVR, no answering machine. I pick up as your front desk, so a new enquiry reaches a person while you're in a meeting or at court.
— The Problem
A prospective client who reaches voicemail usually calls the next firm on their list. When you're the only person in the practice, every missed call is a missed instruction.
The call you miss during a client meeting or a hearing is rarely the call that comes back.
A UK legal secretary costs £26,000–£35,000 a year plus National Insurance, pension and holiday cover. That's a lot of overhead for one phone line.
Callers can tell when they've reached a script read by a stranger rather than someone who knows the practice.
— What I Handle
Live UK-hours phone cover, plus the day-to-day admin that keeps your practice moving — so your time goes on fee-earning work.
— Fit Check
Admin Anchor provides administrative support only. I don't give legal advice, assess matters or carry out any fee-earning work.
— Confidentiality
I work with clear boundaries, respect client confidentiality, and follow agreed processes for every call, email and enquiry. I don't give legal advice or comment on anyone's matter — I take details accurately and pass them to you.
Because I'm based outside the UK, there's some UK GDPR paperwork your practice will need in place before we start. I'll guide you through it using the ICO's own official templates, so it's straightforward rather than something you have to work out alone.

— How It Works
A relaxed 20-minute call to understand your practice, confirm fit, and answer any questions.
We connect your existing phone and diary, agree your call-handling script, what to take from new enquiries and how to escalate, and complete the GDPR paperwork — all before a single call is answered.
Your line is answered live during agreed hours, with weekly check-ins during the first month.
— From a Private Practice Client
"Before Lunet, I was spread extremely thin — I couldn't answer the phone and see my clients for their full hour session. Once she took over my calls and admin, it put the focus back on my clients and took away all my admin headaches. My calls actually got answered instead of going to voicemail, and I finally got time back to focus on counselling."
— Let's See If This Would Help
We'll look at how calls are currently handled, where enquiries are getting missed, and whether cover makes sense for your practice. You'll leave with a clear next step — whether we work together or not.

No. I handle calls, enquiries and admin only. I don't give legal advice, assess matters, quote fees for legal work or carry out any fee-earning work. Anything beyond taking details is passed straight to you.
No — that stays with you. I take the caller's details and the other parties they mention, and pass them to you so you can run your own conflict check before any discussion of the matter.
No. My background is 20+ years of executive and practice support, including live reception for private practices. You set the script and the process; I follow it consistently.
Yes. Bringing in support from outside the UK counts as a restricted transfer under UK GDPR. As the data controller, your practice puts a Data Processing Agreement and an International Data Transfer Agreement in place with me, and completes its own transfer risk assessment. I provide the information you need for that assessment and walk you through the paperwork using the ICO's own official templates — but the assessment and the decision remain yours.
I'm based in Cape Town, South Africa, working UK business hours — the time difference lines up well with the UK working day. Exact hours and admin windows are confirmed during our intro call.
